MMR Vaccination campaign in Brent

As measles cases continue to rise throughout the nation, the NHS is launching a massive campaign to prevent children from becoming ill. As a result, millions of parents and caregivers in England are being urged to schedule their children's missing dose of the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccination.

According to data from the NHS, almost 3.4 million children under the age of sixteen are not receiving enough protection and could potentially contract these grave, entirely avoidable illnesses.

As part of the NHS campaign, parents of children between the ages of six and eleven will be contacted and asked to schedule a time for their child's missed MMR vaccination at their child's GP  practice or through the borough at Brent Civic Centre Engineers Way, Wembley Park, Wembley HA9 0FJ.

Boosting awareness of our Multi-Disciplinary team (in multiple languages)

Delivery Plan for Recovering Access to Primary Care: boosting awareness of the multi-disciplinary team

As part of NHS England’s communications campaign to raise awareness of the multi-disciplinary team working in primary care, a new animated film has been developed to explain the additional roles for multicultural audiences. The animation has been translated into multiple languages (Hindi, Panjabi, Gujarati, Bengali, Polish, Romanian and Somali) to reach those who have low proficiency English and/or literacy levels and uses simple, straightforward language to ensure understanding amongst our target groups. The animations are available via YouTube and can be embedded in social media posts, newsletters or via other communication channels:

Protect with MMR Vaccine

The MMR vaccine helps us fight against three diseases – measlesmumps, and rubella. It’s safe and works really well.

These diseases can make us very sick, but we can avoid them with two doses of this vaccine. It’s usually given to kids, but if you missed it, you can still get it.

By getting the MMR vaccine, you keep yourself and our community safe. If you want to know more or get the vaccine, please contact us.

Stay safe!
